Fortuna Bay Reasonable Neighbor Policies

Check Availability and Make ReservationsWelcome to Fortuna Bay. In an effort to provide you with the best possible stay we’ve implemented a program we call Reasonable Neighbor. These expectations have been developed from our years of experience operating this property and working with guests from all over the country. As a guest here you would expect from your Reasonable Neighbor that their party won’t go too late or that my Reasonable Neighbor won’t allow their dog to howl all day while I try to nap. It’s simple stuff, really, but it needs to be said.

Parking
Each unit is assigned 1 parking slot and allowed 1 extra vehicle in the open parking area. There is extra parking along the street for larger trucks and it works well for trailers.

Occupancy
We have to limit the occupancy of the rooms to what we indicate through our reservation system. As a kid we would load up a van with 15 people and try to shove everybody into a condo. There are places for that but this isn’t it. The property is just not designed for that. There are exceptions, but will require you to get permission. Failure to gain permission will result in removal of your party from the property.

Pool/Parties and General Noise
The pool is open at 9 a.m. and closes at 9 p.m. for children and teens. Adults only after 9 as mom and dad need a little private time. At 11 p.m., the property goes quiet. A reasonable request as guests staying here are often getting up a 5 a.m. to go fishing. There are noises you won’t be familiar with that can wake you, i.e. seagulls and boat motors. I suggest adding a white noise app to your phone and play it in the background.

Pets
We love our pets and understand the relationship a pet has with its human. However, reasonable requests are being made for the well being of your pet and convenience and consideration of our guests.

  1. Pet owners are required to clean up after their pet at all the times. Failure to keep grounds clear of animal waste will result in removal of the pet from the property.
  2. Please inform housekeeping if your pet has an accident in your room. Housekeeping has access to industrial strength cleaners which could prevent additional damage costs if stain is allowed to set. Housekeeping will not clean up animal excrement after your pet.
  3. Additional fee of $20 each night is charged at check‐in and is non‐refundable.
  4. In addition to the above charges any damages occurred in the room or to the pubic areas by the pet e.g. torn or damaged upholstery, draperies, carpeting will be charged to the pet owner, who is responsible for the full cost involved in the repair.
  5. It is the guest's responsibility to control excessive noise (barking etc.) that may disturb other hotel guests. Failure to control barking issues will result in removal of the pet from the property, even if you are not present. Every attempt will be made to contact you in advance; the hotel reserves the right to allow Animal Control to remove the pet.
  6. Damage to Guest Rooms and Common Areas: Your hotel account will charged for the repair or replacement cost for any damage caused by your pet.
  7. Release and Indemnification: the guest agrees to release, defend and indemnify Fortuna Bay LLC, its owners, directors, officers and employees, from any claims or damages related to your pet or your pet’s stay at Fortuna Bay Bed and Breakfast, Corpus Christi, Texas, including any third party claims.
